Currently landmines are cheap to deploy, but expensive to clear. Deminers need new tools to quickly and safely return landmine affected areas back to safe and productive communities. We are focussed on building our sensors to enable the humanitarian demining organisations around the world to carry out this work.
Our Magnetic Resonance (MR) technology has been developed over decades within CSIRO which has resulted in truly unique sensor capabilities.
Now MRead carries the baton to develop the sensor technology into products that can be used for explosive and drug detection across the world.
MRead is a venture between Australia’s national science agency, CSIRO, and RFC Ambrian, a leading deep-tech venture building and corporate advisory firm.
This combination has had proven success building deep-tech ventures, Chrysos Corporation and NextOre. Our Managing Director, John Shanahan, brings a strong understanding of the industry, giving MRead a good technical, industrial, and commercial base to develop our sensors.
